Merry Christmas!

Well, the Christmas holiday is officially over. I wish I could say it was great, but it wasn't! We all had the flu at some point! Overall it was good. Josh started us out with the flu on Saturday (12/22), Ordell, Natalya and Kara had it starting Sunday (12/23), which ended up with my dad passing out, and breaking 5 bones in his foot! Poor guy! Monday and Tuesday had Jeff and I feeling it. But, I think that all is better now. Josh and I are, however, nursing coughs.

Josh got pretty much everything that he wanted from Santa. His favorites so far seem to be the tinker toys (remember those? they were wood when I was a kid, now BRIGHTLY COLORED plastic!) and his grabber. My best gift was the earrings I got from Santa. They are white gold hoops to replace the ones I lost last year. Jeff's best gift... definitely the Wolfgang Puck pot/pan set he got. He is using them again tonight!

We made it to December! 20 more shopping days til xmas!

Hi everyone!

Hope this finds you all doing well. We have had a bunch of busy weeks. My dad and Pauline came down for Thanksgiving. It was a good time. Didn't do much, but that's okay! We took Joshie to see Santa Claus. He asked for Hot Wheels, Grabbers (the thing that old people use to grab things... has a claw on the end... you get the idea!), helicopters, and a bike. We got home, and he was really upset, because he realized that he forgot to ask Santa for "Spiderman Beauticles". If anyone knows what this is, let me know! He says it is on the top shelf at Toys 'R' Us, has Spiderman, Sand, and you shake it!

Work is going well. I am staying really busy. Looking forward to a short break at Christmas. All for now!

We survived pictures

YAY! Pictures are done for the year! Josh's four-year pics, and our family pics turned out well... although Josh did cheesy smile a lot! It was fun! Jeff made chili today (thinking it was going to be cold... it wasn't exactly chili weather, but we sweated our way through it!)

Happy November! 59 shopping days til Christmas!

Hi All!

Well, I survived my first week of work, and am already almost done with the second one. It is going really well! Josh loved Halloween this year. He was a monkey. He LOVED trick or treating around the neighborhood. We met many neighbors this year, as instead of saying trick or treat, he usually said, "Hi. What's your name?" Goofball!

I survived my first day!

Hey All! I survived my first day at my new job! The second one two! It is actually going very well, and I was happy to see lots of familiar faces on my first day. They took me out to lunch at Garozzo's, one of my favorite Italian restaurants. The whole team went, so that was nice. I got my parking squared away... another good thing... covered parking! I went through orientation today, and got my Key goodie bag. It was really good training. I am still sick, so I am looking forward to getting my insurance straightened around. Hopefully it will all be taken care of soon!

Brad and Heather had a beautiful wedding this weekend. It was nice to see all of Jeff's family. I think everyone had a really good time. It was a long weekend though, just because poor little Joshie needed more sleep... I think I did too!

Well, still trying to figure this whole blogging thing out. I haven't yet figured out how to actually get my blog to post... go figure! Bear with me!
Just another rainy day here in Kansas City. Jeff should be home in a couple of hours... thank goodness! I baked two batches of cupcakes today in preparation for Joshie's b-day tomorrow. I will frost them once he gets home!

Welcome to the World of Blogging!

Well, after a small push from my good friend Kelly Bell, I am finally jumping into the world of blogging. I figure it is a good way to keep everyone up to date on what is going on with our family.

Jeff, ever the world traveler, is in Vegas for work. He will be back tomorrow. I am between jobs (start the new one next week, YAY!), and Josh is busy with school/daycare. We are heading up to Nebraska this weekend for Brad's (Jeff's brother) wedding. He is marrying Heather, who is a sweetheart, so we are very excited!
